Bieber's video represents how both genders typically interact in other centuries as well as the 21st century.  Back in the day teenagers normally hung out at a movie theater or a skating rink.  Showing them dancing and flirting at a bowling alley is more relative to today's time.  Teenagers and their habits  are about the same as they were back in the day, they interact the same but just hang out in a different setting.  Pop is now more accepted then rap, rappers now are turning to a more pop style music.
